1. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing or using Ask The Cardiologist, you agree to these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy, and our Disclaimer. If you do not agree, please do not use our services
2. Our Services
We provide remote Tele Echocardiography Interpretation and Independent Cardiology Second Opinion services
Our services are intended to support clinical decision-making and should not replace the ongoing care provided by your treating physician
3. Service Requests
To request a service, you must:
- Complete the appropriate request form
- Submit accurate and complete information
- Upload the required medical reports or echocardiography DICOM files, depending on the requested service
- Complete payment before medical review begins
Incomplete submissions may delay processing or prevent us from providing the requested service
4. Payment
Payment must be completed before medical review or interpretation begins
Applicable service fees are published on our Pricing page. After submitting your request, a confirmation email containing your Case ID and payment instructions will be sent to the email address provided in your request form
Your Case ID must be included with your payment, as it serves as the reference number for your request
5. Turnaround Time
Routine reports are typically completed within 48 hours after all required information and payment have been received
Urgent reports are typically completed within 6 hours
These turnaround times are estimated and may vary depending on case complexity, the completeness of submitted information, unforeseen circumstances or other operational circumstances beyond our reasonable control
6. Refund Policy
Refunds may be provided in the following situations:
- Duplicate or accidental payments
- Cancellation requested before medical review or interpretation begins
- Requests submitted for services outside the scope of our practice
Refund requests should be submitted through our Contact form and must include the relevant Case ID
Once medical review or interpretation has begun, refunds are generally not available
7. Right to Decline a Request
We reserve the right to decline or cancel a request if:
- The submitted information is insufficient
- The requested service falls outside our scope of practice
- Technical requirements are not met
- We determine that the request cannot be appropriately completed
Where applicable, eligible payments will be refunded in accordance with our Refund Policy
8. Medical Information
You are responsible for ensuring that all submitted information is accurate, complete, and belongs to you or has been submitted with appropriate authorization
Our medical opinion is based solely on the information provided
9. Report Delivery
Reports are delivered electronically
For Tele Echocardiography, you will receive a structured echocardiography interpretation
For Cardiology Second Opinion, you will receive a written expert medical opinion based on the submitted information
10. Report Clarification
One clarification request regarding your report may be submitted within 7 days of report delivery through our Contact form
Please include your Case ID
Clarification is limited to explaining the issued report and does not include review of new medical information, new investigations, or changes in clinical condition. Such requests require a new service
11. Emergencies
Our services are not intended for medical emergencies
If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, seek immediate medical attention through your local emergency services or nearest healthcare facility
12. Limitation of Liability
Our services are provided in good faith and are based solely on the medical information submitted to us
While we make every reasonable effort to provide accurate and professional medical opinions, we do not guarantee any specific clinical outcome
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ask Your Cardiologist shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of our services or reliance on the information provided
Healthcare decisions should always be made in consultation with the patient's treating physician, who remains responsible for diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing clinical care
13. Intellectual Property
All website content, reports, text, graphics, logos, and materials are the property of Ask Your Cardiologist unless otherwise stated and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without prior written permission
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time
